Down the Rabbit Hole is a dark romantic fantasy series that contains scenes of explicit sex. Although there is no on page rape in this book, this series will both talk about it an allude towards sexual violence.  

Relationships: This series shows the good and the bad that come with relationships in a fantasy setting, so obstacles are exaggerated for dramatic effect and in no way express or should be emulated in real life. The relationships are problematic and are written to be that way on purpose. This book is a fantasy romance and will cover uncomfortable topics through a dark fantasy lens.

Triggering Content: This includes the theme that damaged people damage the ones they love. This story overall is about love concurring all, but you have to work to do that. Since this is a fantasy, I used that message to exaggerate the effects of mental illness. This can be a highly triggering, especially since it is exacerbated and fantasticised for the drama. If you’re not a place to start, please DON’T read this series. Take care of yourself first. You deserve it. Maybe pick up a cozy fantasy, I can recommend some fantastic reads and then come back when you’re in a better place. I’d rather you feel FOMO than be triggered.

The sexual and romantic relationships between the characters are consensual, and all characters are 18+. The dubious, although consensual nature of the relationships are intentional, and once again, should not be reflected in real life. These characters are going to hurt each other emotionally, physically, and mentally.

This series contains questioning sexuality and gender identities.

This series also contains explicit sexual scenes where some include supernatural appendages and sexual organs.

HEA: That being said, all the romantic leads will have a HEA by the end of the series, but each book isn’t expected to land on one.

Wife Husbandry: The primary relationship between is 100% illegal in reality, and their relationship should not be mirrored in any capacity. The relationship falls under the Wife Husbandry trope, and although this is done for narrative reasons, it is in no way shape or form acceptable in reality.  Alice and Mad don’t start their romantic and sexual relationship until she is 22.
